Question - How long will it take to receive my kit and results?

Answer: Your kit will normally arrive by mail in a couple of days and the results will follow in 3 to 5 days after receipt of your samples.

Question - How are the results sent to me and are they confidential?

Answer: Results are sent to the email address you provide and you are sent in the sample collection kit and access code to the site and the pin number exclusive to your results which can be printed off. Your results are safe and secure.

Question - What will my results say?

Answer: In the case of a paternity test they will say either 0%, meaning the person tested as the alleged father is not the father,  or 99% meaning the person tested as the father, is the biological father, other relationships are spelt out ,and you are given the interpretive scientific opinion as to what they mean.

Question - Can samples other than cheek swabs be used as a DNA source?

Answer: As long as we are able to extract DNA from the submitted sample then such things as toothbrush, clothing, razors, cigarette butts, swabs from a stain or cup, and many other options may be viable. There is a surcharge of between 50 and $75 for the use of these items and call us to discuss.

Question - if I need the test to be legally valid  for a judicial purpose such as child custody or support, adoption, birth certificates etc... Can this be done?

Answer:  All paternity depot tests can be made legally valid at the time of sampling by the use of our chain of custody donor certification form which is easily filled out, at the time of sample collection, by any third party. We supply the form, make one copy for everyone being tested follow the simple instructions. There is a single charge of $50 and make as many copies as you need. Call us if you require assistance.
